Lake Titicaca & Uyuni Salt Flats

Transfer to selected hotel.

Bus to the peninsula of Copacabana, located at 151km from the city of La Paz with an impressive view of the Cordillera Real.

Crossing the lake by motor boat you arrive to the southern area of the island. Here you will visit the archaeological remains of Pilkokaina, a temple of the Inca, and a religious center. Then a short walk the Yumani stairs to the Fountain of Youth where you can purify yourself by drinking its holy water. Then we return to Copacabana.

Overnight in Copacabana.

Hike down through Yumani visiting the Inca stairs and the Water of the Eternal Youth, then have a trip north by boat to visit Chincana ruins and the Sacred Rock (1 hour); continue by boat to the Island of the Moon (1 hour) and the Inca ruins of Iñak Uyu temple to finally reach Copacabana (1 ½ hours). Private transportation to Puno or La Paz (3 ½ hours).

Transfer to Alto-La Paz airport.

Flight to Uyuni.

Enter this unique natural wonder with over 10.582 km2 at 3.692 m of salt is really special; you’ll visit the village of Colchani in the shores to see the locals produce salt. Enter this perfect natural highway to cross it to “Isla Incahuasi” (2 hours), a special habitat of volcanic rocks and giant cactus, continue north to the pre-Columbian AyquePucara fort and the nearby chullpares in the foothills of the Tunupa volcano. Trip back to Colchani to enjoy a great sunset, overnight in a salt hotel.
