The pandemic showed that the neediest people in Peru were precisely those who received the least attention from the State. In Huanta, health services are very inefficient and protocols for the prevention of childhood diseases do not exist. Malnutrition and anemia are the biggest health problems facing our children.
Additionally, respiratory illnesses are common due to low temperatures as well as infectious diseases related to low levels of sanitation and lack of access to potable water.
For these reasons, we want to send a delegation of doctors and nurses to give the children a comprehensive check-up to protect them from any illness or condition in the future.
