Visit to the Ollantaytambo Fortress – ALQA Museum and Casa Inka.
You will be transferred from your hotel to Ollantaytambo. The town of Ollantaytambo is a typical example of Inca urban planning that is still inhabited today as it was in the past. Pachacútec (1438–1471) conquered the town, destroyed it, and built a new one, incorporating it into his empire, making it one of the most remarkable archaeological complexes of the Inca civilization. You will then continue to the ALQA Museum. The ALQA Museum is a space that challenges the boundaries between tradition and modernity. This unique museum celebrates the richness of contemporary Andean art, bringing together works by artists from various regions of Peru who reinterpret ancestral symbols, materials, and knowledge through a contemporary lens. More than an exhibition space, ALQA is a living platform that honors the creativity of Indigenous peoples, promoting dialogue between past and present, between the ancestral and the avant-garde.Finally, you will visit Casa Inka. This is not a museum, but a living home that opens its doors to share history, spirituality, and hospitality. It is an opportunity to learn through direct experience, with respect and reciprocity, in an environment where the past is not frozen, but continues to beat strongly. Ideal for those seeking something deeper than a tourist visit: a genuine immersion in the culture that shaped the Sacred Valley.
At the end of the visit, you will return to your hotel.
